Overview
The Commission on Monuments and Public Art is tasked with:
- Cataloguing an inventory of existing monuments, markers, and works of public art on City-owned property
- Reviewing the contextualization of monuments, markers, and works of public art on City-owned property
- Providing a public forum for the discussion of monuments, markers, and works of public art on City-owned property

Members
The Commission shall consist of five members, three appointed by the Mayor and two appointed by the Common Council. At least one of the members appointed by the Mayor must have a professional background in history, historic preservation, and/or art history. Members appointed to the Commission serve three-year terms.
