2024 Benchmarking Annual Report
This annual report is used to track municipal buildings’ energy performance and is created in compliance with a passed Resolution on March 21, 2022. Comparisons between annual reports can provide insights into energy use, including potential cost savings. This report includes only municipal buildings larger than 1,000 sq. ft. 

2023 Capital Region Climate Action Plan
This Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) is a narrative report that focuses on near-term, high-priority strategies to reduce GHG pollution and includes a GHG inventory, Quantified GHG Reduction Measures, Low-income/Disadvantaged Communities Benefits Analysis, and a review of authority to implement for the Capital Region.

2023 Emission Inventory for Community and Local Government Operations
This report provides estimates of greenhouse gas emissions resulting from activities in the City as a whole and local government operations in 2023. This inventory tracks the City of Albany's greenhouse gas emissions and is conducted in compliance with the Climate Action Plan adopted in 2012. Comparing annual inventories provides insights into emission sources and progress toward reduction goals. 

2022 Albany Clean Energy Master Plan

An overview on the energy audits of the City’s 27 largest building and energy conservation measures required for full building electrification.

2021 Hudson River Shoreline Stabilization Study
A guiding document for the stabilization and restoration of the shoreline of the Hudson River in the City of Albany. It will be used to prioritize and allocate resources for projects to protect the City’s unique natural and built environment from future flooding and extreme weather events.

2021 City of Albany Fleet Electrification Study - Final Report
Evaluation of the City of Albany’s potential to electrify its vehicle fleet to reduce fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and greenhouse gas emissions.

2020 Capital District Zero Emission Vehicle Plan
In part an update to the 2016 Capital District Electric Vehicle Charging Plan, this study lays out a framework for the deployment of electric vehicles region-wide.


2019 Community Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory
This study reports on the total greenhouse gas emissions generated within the city limits in 2019.

2019 Albany South End Air Quality Report
The South End has historically been threatened by inferior air quality, due in part to the proximity of places like the Port of Albany and I-787. The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation studied the problem in this report.

2016 Capital Region Electric Vehicle Charging Station Plan
Anticipating an increasing need for electric vehicle infrastructure in coming years, this study was done to guide Capital District communities, with a particular focus on five municipalities, including Albany.

Albany took the lead in developing this Regional Plan, which looks at sustainability efforts across multiple counties in upstate New York.
