Prior to joining the City of Albany, Steve worked as a Financial Analyst for an investment banking firm, helping advisors open accounts for new clients and ensuring regulations are followed. As an Accountant at ACDA, Steve makes sure grant funding is allocated to the proper recipients, confirms funds are available, processes invoices from vendors, and cuts checks. Steve has enjoyed learning account reconciliation and adjusting balance sheets. “It’s not far from what I used to do, but it’s also a great opportunity to gain more knowledge in a different field. I like learning and growing as a person. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new” he says. Outside of work, Steve is an avid runner and has participated in three 5Ks. He also enjoys attending concerts, going to the gym, going for walks, and being outdoors.
