ALBANY, NY – Albany police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred late Saturday night on Central Avenue.

On Saturday, January 30, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a building on the 200 block of Central Avenue just west of Robin Street for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, three women, ages 27, 32, and 37, were located at the scene with gunshot wounds and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital.

The 32-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The other two sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

Shortly after the call, staff from Albany Medical Center Hospital notified police that two men, ages 30 and 33, had just entered the emergency room with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Through the investigation it was determined that both men were also shot during the incident on Central Avenue. 

At this time no further details are available and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased will not be released until proper notifications have been made.
