Thanks to the ARPA program funded by the Albany For All initiative, Shilo Banker, a recently promoted city employee, had the chance to explore various career opportunities and create a path for herself. After thirteen years in healthcare, Shilo sought a change in pace. She returned to school to further her education, diligently working towards obtaining her graduate degree in Marketing. Exploring job opportunities in the City, she joined as a Social Media Intern for the Department of Recreation. Within 9 months in the position, she earned a promotion to a full-time role.
