ALBANY, NY – Beginning Tuesday, May 21 at 6 a.m. and continuing through Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6 a.m., the City’s contractor will be milling & paving S. Pearl Street between Madison Avenue and State Street. The existing pavement will be removed during this operation and the base course of asphalt will be installed in this same area.  This is a narrow section of road with multiple destinations.  As a result, travel delays are anticipated and should be expected during the milling and paving work.  Traffic will be controlled by flag-persons and will either be maintained in shifted lanes or detoured onto adjacent roadways.

Parking will be prohibited on both sides of S. Pearl Street between Madison Avenue and State Street beginning Tuesday, May 21 at 6 a.m. through Thursday, May 23 at 6 a.m..
After Thursday, May 21, the contractor will be replacing sidewalk panels, curbs, and crosswalk ramps at intersections.  There will be posted emergency no parking prohibitions at these areas as needed.

Top layer asphalt paving will be scheduled at a later date once all other necessary work is completed.
