Refugee was formed in early 2014 by six seasoned New York musicians who love Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. It is with love, respect and all our hearts that we pay tribute to Tom, one of the greatest American songwriters of our time. It is a daunting task to do justice to this brilliant catalogue of music but doing so means everything to this band. Tom was taken from all of us much too soon but his beautiful legacy will live on forever. We love you Tom.  Refugee has become one of the most successful nationally touring tributes to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Playing the best of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tom Petty solo music and some Mudcrutch and Travlin' Willbury's thrown in for good measure with such crazy precision you have to see Refugee to believe them.

ART meets CRAFT?   Yes, the ART of SONGWRITING is alive and well with The Flurries. Three minute gems… listen, you’ll see... Oh, and the CRAFT of PERFORMANCE is also alive and, uh … kicking! “A-one-two-three-four!” and off they go, making all the sound they need with just three pieces. It shows in “COLOUR SHOW” - recorded in a manner that not many dare these days - done Sun Records or Billie Holiday style, everyone in one room, and you play a great take! Period. Jerry Kitzrow began playing professionally at the age of just 17, with his group The Bandables. Based out of the NYC music scene, the youngsters enjoyed the world of records, touring and radio. Later, Jerry formed Wild Honey. After some time away from the industry to start a family, Jerry has returned to the stage with a batch of new songs and some excellent musical partners. Peter McCaw attended Berklee College of Music and he has studied theory, arrangement, classical guitar & trumpet, in addition to bass. Peter has worked steadily as a professional sideman and now his ear for arrangement and stage energy has made him an integral part of The Flurries. Neil Green moves swiftly from a rock beat to touches of jazz & soul. He also brings the same focus to the kit that made him a star running back at Boston College and to deals with the Oakland Raiders and the NY Jets of the NFL.  Exciting? YES... Unabashedly Energetic, with a sound both melodic and powerful.  YES... Crowd Favorites Always. YES... Bringing Sonic Colours your way With their COLOUR SHOW... YES.
