Join the City of Albany Bike to Work Day Ride the Morning of Friday, May 17

Who: Cyclists who would like to join City of Albany employees on their Bike to Work Day ride

What: Bike to Work Day morning ride from Market32 to City Hall; A press conference will be held at The Downtube at 8:15; Speakers will include Albany Assemblymember Pat Fahy; Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins, Common Council Members Richard Conti and Cathy Fahey, and Bob Fullem, owner of The Downtube, the Madison Avenue bicycle shop. The final destination will be City Hall, at 24 Eagle St., where bagels and coffee will be served.

Where:  The ride will start in front of Market32, on the corner of Madison Avenue and West Lawrence Street (1060 Madison). Cyclists will come east down Madison on its bike lanes, stop at The Downtube (466 Madison; corner of Willett and Madison) for a press conference, make a left on Willett Street, and then make a right on State Street.
