ALBANY, NY - Mayor Kathy Sheehan has announced four upcoming Solid Waste Management Plan Community Meetings (click here to view flyer).  These events are designed to give residents the opportunity to meet with City of Albany Department of General Services officials, obtain information regarding the current state of solid waste management in the City, and to provide input on the next steps of the City’s Solid Waste Management Plan.

“As the Rapp Road landfill nears its anticipated closing date of January 2023, we must prepare for the next phase of solid waste management in the City of Albany,” said Mayor Kathy Sheehan. “These meetings provide residents, property owners, and businesses opportunities to learn about the history of solid waste in Albany and help shape how we will manage solid waste moving forward.”
