Lauren is project manager for a number of sustainable initiatives, including construction of the South End Connector, the first two-way separated cycle track in the City Of Albany; trail construction in the Tivoli Lake Preserve; a feasibility study of the Patroon Creek Greenway; and the Waterfront, Access, Vitality, and Economic Strategy Study. Lauren also staffs the Sustainability Advisory Committee and was the City of Albany liaison with CDTA in the launch of CDPHP Cycle!, the Capital Region’s first bikeshare program. She is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Albania, 2014-2016) and has previously worked for the NY State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, NY State Department of Health, and for various civil society organizations that focus on public health, the environment, and affordable higher education. She has a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Albany. Outside of work, she goes on walks with her dog, Sparkles, trains for triathlons, and snowboards.
