City Hall on the Road

August 03, 2018

In 2016, Mayor Kathy Sheehan started bringing information and representatives from city departments directly to Albany’s neighborhoods for the first time by implementing City Hall on the Road. Since that time the administration has held over 10 successful City Hall on the Road events and is now in the midst of our third round of events.

We realize that it can be difficult to get to City departments, especially during normal business hours, so we have organized this effort to bring City resources to the community.

Whether you need a dog license, a recycling bin, an inspection or permit from the Department of Buildings and Regulatory Compliance, or you are curious about grant programs that may be available to residents and business owners, City experts will be on hand to answer these and any other questions you may have.  Mayor Sheehan and City officials will be available for one-on-one meetings on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Summer/Fall 2018 schedule of  City Hall on the Road in underway and there will be a total of six events this summer and fall.

“My administration continues to make City of Albany departments and resources available to address issues, answer questions, and provide assistance after-hours throughout the City,” said Mayor Kathy Sheehan.  “City Hall on the Road has been well-received the past two years, and it is clear Albany residents appreciate the continued opportunity to address their concerns one-on-one with City officials at a time that is convenient for them.”

For additional information about which departments will be available as well as necessary documents residents may need to bring, please visit our City Hall on the Road page
