ALBANY, NY – Albany police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred early this morning.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Third Street and North Swan Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two males who had sustained gunshot wounds. A 21-year-old male had been shot in the torso and a 31-year-old male had been shot in the arm.

Both men were treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third victim, a 28-year-old male who was transported to Albany Memorial Hospital before police arrival, is believed to have been shot during the same incident. He was shot in the arm and torso. His injuries are non-life threatening.

All three victims have been highly uncooperative with the police.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male had been shot at the location and had been transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital before their arrival with gunshot wounds to the torso.

The victim, age 21, is currently being treated at the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

At this time both incidents remain under investigation and its unknown if they’re connected. It’s also unknown if they’re connected to the homicide that occurred yesterday on Teunis Street or other shooting incidents that have occurred over the past week.
