ALBANY, NY – Albany police are currently investigating an altercation in which four men were stabbed this morning on Madison Avenue.

Just before 1:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Madison Avenue and Lark Street for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located four male victims who sustained stab wounds during a fight that had taken place near the intersection.

All four victims, ages 22 and 23, were treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where they are currently being treated. One of the men sustained serious injuries and is listed in critical condition.

A male believed to be responsible for the incident was taken into custody by officers shortly after the call.

At this time the investigation remains ongoing.
