MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING ORANGE STREET BURGLARIES

ALBANY, NY – A 21-year-old Troy man has been charged in connection with two separate burglaries that occurred this morning on Orange Street.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a home on the 200 block of Orange Street for reports of a domestic related burglary. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that Lahquan Grady had kicked in the front door of her residence and stole her iPhone.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., officers responded back to the residence for another burglary call. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that Grady once again kicked open the front door, as well as an interior bedroom door. Grady then proceeded to steal another cell phone from the victim.

Shortly after the call, Grady was located by officers in the area of Lexington Avenue and Orange Street and taken into custody.

Grady has been charged with two counts of Burglary 2nd, two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th and two counts of Petit Larceny.

He was arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court.
