VOLUNTEER SPRING CLEANUPS SCHEDULED IN NEIGHBORHOODS ACROSS ALBANY IN APRIL

ALBANY, NY – Do you want to lend a hand to make Albany more beautiful? In the upcoming weeks, in neighborhoods across Albany, residents will have numerous opportunities clean up trash on neighborhood streets and sidewalks, and in parks too. 

“We are fortunate that every spring hundreds of volunteers around the City turn out to help keep our neighborhoods looking great,” said Mayor Kathy M. Sheehan. “City crews are out doing the regular work to keep the City clean, but Albany wouldn’t get as spruced up as it does without the work of devoted volunteers. Making the City shine again each spring is a labor of love, and we thank all who join the effort.” 

The Department of General Services (DGS) provides tools, bags, and garbage pick-up for events whenever possible. Organizers can contact the Community Relations Coordinator at DGS by calling 518-434-5822. Here are the scheduled neighborhood and park cleanups taking place around the City: 

Sheridan Hollow Neighborhood Cleanup—Meet at 255 Orange St.
