Living Wage Compliance Committee

The City of Albany Living Wage Committee members were appointed by Mayor Kathy M. Sheehan, with the advice and consent of the Common Council to provide oversight and review of the City's Living Wage Ordinance.

The 2005 City of Albany Living Wage Ordinance requires the Living Wage Committee to conduct an annual review of the law and allows the Committee to make recommendations for changes if so warranted.

Living Wage Committee Members:

  • Catherine Fahey, Chair
  • Kory Hogan
  • Bernie Mulligan
  • Pastor Elgin Taylor
  • Anita Thayer

The goals of the forum are as follows:

  2. to determine what amount constitutes a living wage for individuals and families in the City of Albany;
  3. to determine how many individuals and families are or are not making a living wage in the City of Albany;
  4. to discuss what role city government can play in ensuring that all city residents earn a living wage.

The public will have the opportunity to give testimony (up to 5 minutes long) at the forum and may sign up to speak beforehand by emailing or by signing up to speak before the forum begins. The public may also submit written testimony by email or mail. Please see contact information below.
