Snow Emergency Parking

The City of Albany is happy to be able to provide off-street parking during declared Snow Emergencies. These lots are scattered throughout the City, use our interactive map to navigate and explore these locations. Areas highlighted in blue signify the dedicated parking areas, additionally the circular ‘P’ icon can be clicked for additional information on a specific lot.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION
230 Colonie Street 230 Colonie Street is the address of a snow emergency parking lot. Enter from Colonie Street. While not as spacious as other lots there are spaces available on the paved area in front of the half basketball court.
Arbor Hill Softball Field The Abor Hill Softball Field snow emergency parking lot is located off of Lark Street in between Colonie Street and Manning Boulevard. It is an ‘L’ shaped parking lot next to the softball field.
Bleecker Stadium The Bleecker Stadium snow emergency parking lot has two entrances.

One entrance is off of Clinton Avenue, continue straight past the building to enter the parking lot.

The second entrance is off of Second Street, across from the Albany Driving School.

Please use only the parking lot.
Franklin Street Parking Lot The Franklin Street snow emergency parking lot is located just off of Franklin Street between Schuyler Street and Basset Street, behind the Dollar General parking lot. Parking lot will be in front of basketball courts.
Frisbee Avenue Parking Lot The Frisbee Avenue snow emergency parking lot is located alongside Frisbee Avenue in between Avenue B and McCarty Avenue. This lot is the parking lot for the Saint Rose athletic fields.
Hackett Park Parking Lot Hackett Park Parking Lot is a snow emergency parking lot with entrance off of North First Street. Located across from North Albany Post, this paved parking area is available during declared snow emergencies.
Lincoln Park Lincoln Park has available parking areas during declared snow emergencies. These areas have two entrances.

The first being a one-way road off of Delaware Avenue in between Morton Avenue and the Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science. This parking area extends to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.

The other entrance to the Lincoln Park snow emergency parking areas is a one-way road off of Eagle Street. This parking area extends along the north side of the bowl in Lincoln Park and continues until it runs into Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Ridgefield Park The Ridgefield Park snow emergency parking lot is located off of Partridge Street in between Myrtle Avenue and Park Avenue. This paved parking lot is located in front the tennis courts before heading up the hill.
Tivoli Parking Lot The Tivoli Park snow emergency parking lot is located off of Livingston Avenue directly across from Judson Street. It is a paved parking lot that leads into a nature preserve.
Washington Park Washington Park has areas made available for parking during declared snow emergencies. These areas include:

The paved road north of the formal garden beds.
The paved road leading from the Madison Avenue entrance to Washington Park Road.
The stretch of paved curved road encircling Washington Park Lake alongside Madison Avenue until it runs into Thurlow Terrace. 

These areas can be accessed via the Madison Avenue entrance to the park or from Willett Street.
Waterson Park (Westland Hills) The Waterson Park, or Westland Hills, snow emergency parking lot has two entrances.

One entrance stems from Austain Ave and continues into a loop.

The second entrance is off of Colvin Avenue and turns into Anthony Street, it is a long paved stretch of road in between the Westland Hills Dog Park and the car dealership next door.
Woodlawn Park Little League The Woodlawn Park Little League snow emergency parking lot has two locations.

The first being off of Partridge Street, alongside Providence Street in between Mercer Street and Woodlawn Avenue behind the baseball field.

The second location is off of Woodlawn Avenue in front of the basketball courts near the junction of Woodlawn Avenue and West Erie Street.
