    The City of Albany is soliciting qualified individuals or firms to provide consulting services in connection with developing, implementing and managing a City-wide Energy and Sustainability Plan and Program for the City of Albany, New York. This is a new program designed to lead the City’s energy and sustainability efforts.
  • Mayor Jennings Announces #3-#7 Plastic Recycling
    Mayor Jennings announced the expansion of the curbside recycling program to include plastic containers #3-#7. Previously only #1-#2 plastic containers were accepted now #1-7 plastic containers are excepted curbside for collection.

Block by Block is an initiative designed to enhance the quality of life in Albany's neighborhoods. City staff is moving block by block, building by building and lot by lot through the City of Albany to strategically address code compliance, public safety, abandoned buildings and community development. At the same time, the initiative is taking a hard look at the City's business model and information flow to create an updated and more efficient system for communication between City departments.
