Central Booking

The primary functions of Central Booking are the processing, admission, and lodging of persons under arrest.  The unit is headed by the Central Booking/Courts Lieutenant who oversees a staff of 3 Central Booking Sergeants, 6 Booking Clerks, 4 Matrons, and 4 Chauffeurs.  The physical layout consists of a processing area where prisoner intake is conducted, and identification area where prisoner photographs and fingerprints are taken, a male cellblock area consisting of 30 cells, a female cellblock are consisting of 8 cells, a breath analysis room, a property room for storing prisoner property, and a garage area that houses the prisoner transport vehicle more commonly known as the “paddy wagon”.
