Frank J. Commisso Jr. was born on July 3, 1984 in the City of Albany to his parents, Helen and Frank Commisso. A lifelong resident of Albany's 15th Ward, Frank graduated from The Albany Academy in 2002. While attending The Albany Academy, he earned varsity letters in football during his sophomore, junior and senior years. Frank was also a Captain in the Cadet Battalion as a senior.

After his high school graduation, Frank joined his brother Vincent Commisso at St. Lawrence University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in both Economics and Government. Upon his graduation from college, Frank returned home to begin his professional career.

Frank is employed as a State Program Examiner with the NYS Office of the State Comptroller where he assists in the performance audits of state agencies, institutions and authorities.

On November 3, 2009, Frank was elected to the Albany Common Council.  Frank serves as Vice-Chair of the General Services committee and is a member of the Finance Taxation and Assessment committee. Frank also serves his community as a Democratic Committeeperson in the 15^th Ward, 2^nd District.
