City Arts Commission

The availability of arts, music, culture and entertainment are important forces in the economy and vitality of a city. It is the City Arts Commission’s responsibility to evaluate applications by arts and cultural groups for arts grant funding and to make recommendations for City financial support.

In 2009 the City Arts Commission and the Albany Local Development Corporation awarded a total of $350,000 in grants to arts, entertainment and cultural organizations.
