Albany Parking Authority

The purpose of the Albany Parking Authority is to construct, operate and maintain public parking facilities and on-street meters in the City of Albany. The Parking Authority aims to strengthen economic development in the City of Albany by resolving parking and traffic problems, improving parking convenience, promoting traffic and pedestrian safety and planning for transportation alternatives.

The Albany Parking Authority consists of a five members as well as an Executive Director. The Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Common Council, appoints members to five-year terms.

Meetings

Meetings of the Board of Directors are usually held once per month from 8:30 am to 10:00 am in the Authority office, at 655 Broadway.
