The City of Albany Empire Zone Program The City of Albany offers significant tax credits, benefits and special incentives to encourage business investment and job creation within targeted areas of the City of Albany through the New York State Empire Zone Program. Businesses can significantly reduce their New York State income tax liability if they expand in, or relocate to the Albany Empire Zone. A Zone Coordinator is on staff and available to assist businesses in their expansion and relocation efforts within the Albany Empire Zone. The City of Albany Empire Zone consists of approximately 1280 acres and is presently located in the following areas with in the City:

If you're not located in one of these zones, you may still qualify as a "Regionally Significant Project"
2010 Empire Zone Meetings The City of Albany Empire Zone Board meets the first Wednesday of every month. Please look below for specific 2010 dates:

- May 5th
- June 2nd
- July 7th
- August 4th
- September 1st
- October 6th
- November 3rd
- December 1st
